Kaycee Sub-Miniature Microswitch type K5 incorporates butterfly snap-action mechanism. Designed for use where space is at a premium. Confirms to joint services specification 5104, 1972.

Double break moving contact arrangement enables the circuit to be broken in two places simultaneously; Thus arc energy and heat gets dissipated minimizing the possibility of contact weld. This feature effectively increases electrical life.

Circuitry:

Type K5 is available in double pole providing 2 sets of NO & NC Contact arrangement and the option to control upto 4isolated circuits. It may be wired externally to provide (two commons to form) a standard double pole double throw switch.
